BIOGRAPHY
James R. Stoker - Director, National Fraternal Congress of America
James R. Stoker has been the Secretary/Treasurer, CEO, for Greater Beneficial Union of Pittsburgh (GBU) since 1993. From 1972 to 1980 he was employed as an Audit Manager for a National Certified Public Accounting Firm. From 1980 to 1992, he was the principal/owner of a local accounting firm Reddinger, Stoker & Company, Inc., and also during the same period he was an elected auditor for the borough of Whitehall, a local municipality in the Pittsburgh area.
Jim earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration with a concentration in accounting and finance from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He currently is a director for the NFCA Secretaries Section and is a member and officer for GBU District 684 in Pittsburgh, PA. Stoker is a past board member of the Pennsylvania Fraternal Congress and the NFCA Standing Committee on Financial Statements. He also has been a member of other fraternal benefit societies, including National Slovak Society of the USA and the Loyal Christian Benefit Association (formerly OSA).
Stoker is a certified public accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
