BIOGRAPHY
Anthony T. Mravle - Director, National Fraternal Congress of America
Anthony (Tony) T. Mravle has served as KSKJ’s Chief Executive Officer since 1999.
Born in Slovenia, which was part of Communist Yugoslavia, Mravle came to the United States as a youth in 1960. He served with the U.S. Army in Georgia and Alaska. He graduated with bachelor degrees in business administration and economics from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in 1970. After graduation, Mravle worked as an internal auditor with the Fairbanks Utilities System.
He was appointed the treasurer position at KSKJ in 1972 and in 1987 was selected by the KSKJ Board of Directors to serve in the newly created position as Secretary-Treasurer, a position he served until 1999 when he was named to his current CEO post. Mravle has been directly involved with re-vamping KSKJ’s image and re-vitalizing how it does business and the products it sells.
Mravle, who will complete his 33rd year with KSKJ this fall, received his Life Office Management Association (LOMA) designation as a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).
He was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the Board of the National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) in August 2005.
A resident of Shorewood, IL, Mravle and his wife Judy are the parents of four grown children: Tony, Jr., Mike, Marie and Tom. Mravle’s lifelong passion has been the sport of soccer and for many years he volunteered as a soccer coach in park district and private club level. All four of his children became excellent soccer players starring on private soccer clubs and high school varsity. Tony Jr. and Mike excelled as four-year varsity players at the University of St. Francis in Joliet.
