BIOGRAPHY


Joseph E. Gadbois, ACS, FLMI - Director, National Fraternal Congress of America

Joseph Gadbois is currently Senior Vice President of Fraternal and Marketing for the newly merged society, presently named Catholic Knights/Catholic Family, Milwaukee, Wis. A member of the merger steering committee, he oversees, in cooperation with two vice presidents, member benefits, charitable outreach, and the local unit network as well as branding, advertising, and other corporate communications activities.


Gadbois has a BA in English from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Mass.; and a MS in Journalism with a major in advertising from the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. During his fraternal career, he also served as a visiting professor of communications at Emmanuel College in Boston and as an account executive for an advertising firm.


Gadbois was elected to fill a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) in September 2007. He is a past president of the NFCA Fraternal and Communications Sections, and Past Chair of the former Public Relations and Convention Publicity committees. He also served as past chair of the Marshal Program. He holds the distinction of being past president of both the Wisconsin and New England Fraternal Congresses.


Gadbois and his wife, Helen-Anne Priske-Gadbois, live in Milwaukee, where Gadbois serves in many leadership positions at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist and was Charter Secretary for Shorewood Business Improvement District. Their son, Jonathan, is a 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
