Charlie Cook, Respected Authority on U.S. Elections and Political Trends
Charlie Cook is a highly respected political analyst and commentator.  He is editor and publisher of The Cook Political Report, a weekly columnist for National Journal magazine and a political analyst for CNN, appearing regularly on their daily news show, Inside Politics.  Charlie served as an election night consultant and analyst for CBS News in 1990 and 1992 and for NBC News in 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000.  Cook also writes a regular column for the Washington Quarterly, published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Founded in 1984, the independent, non-partisan, Cook Political Report is regularly consulted by corporations, trade associations, labor unions and private subscribers for its analysis of elections for the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, Governor and President, as well as national political trends.  Its subscribers have included the Reagan, Bush and Clinton administrations.
