The National Fraternal Congress of America Hires New Communications & Marketing Coordinator

The NFCA elevates staff member to brand new position.

OAK BROOK, IL –The National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) announced the promotion of Alice McGregor as its new Communications & Marketing Coordinator.

In this new position, McGregor will serve as general support to the Communications & Marketing department to assist on activities furthering the NFCA’s strategic priorities and programs. She will be responsible for coordinating and executing the NFCA’s new fraternal recognition program, “Fraternalists in Action.” In addition, she will complete projects of the Communications & Marketing department including, but not limited to, the production and distribution of promotional pieces and membership correspondence, coordination of association award programs and assistance in the development of other departmental programs. McGregor began working in this new position on March 8.

“We’re thrilled that Alice has accepted this new role at the NFCA,” said NFCA President and CEO Frederick H. Grubbe. “She has proven herself, time and again, to be an invaluable team player and model employee. We’re happy that we’ll be able to utilize her many skills and talents in this position.”

McGregor started her career at the NFCA, as Administrative Coordinator for the Fraternal and Communications department on August 14, 2000. Prior to the NFCA, she worked as an Editorial Assistant for Sun Publications. McGregor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eckerd College, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She is married with two daughters and resides in Naperville, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

The 120-year-old NFCA unites 76 not-for-profit fraternal benefit societies operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. The association represents almost 10 million people in 36,000 local chapters, making it one of America’s largest member networks. Fraternal benefit societies provide their members with leadership, social, educational, spiritual, patriotic, scholarship, financial and volunteer-service opportunities. Combined, the NFCA’s member-societies maintain more than $315 billion of life insurance in force and, in 2004 alone, contributed almost $390 million to charitable and fraternal programs. In addition, fraternalists volunteered approximately 91.5 million hours toward community-service projects during that same period.
