The National Fraternal Congress of America Hires New Director of Membership and Fraternal Services

07/10/06

OAK BROOK, IL – The National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) announced the hiring of Susan E. Reinhardt as its new Director of Membership and Fraternal Services.

In this new position, Ms. Reinhardt is responsible for managing the daily operations of the department, including membership standards program compliance, and membership statistics and services, which includes fraternal function and performance. Ms. Reinhardt will oversee all activities associated with day-to-day member-society needs. She also will work to educate, develop and grow the NFCA’s membership, while identifying opportunities to collaborate and partner with non-fraternal organizations on issues of common interest. Ms. Reinhardt begins work at the NFCA today, July 10.

“We’re delighted to have Susan join the NFCA headquarters staff,” said NFCA President and CEO Frederick H. Grubbe. “She will contribute immediately by working with the Membership Standards Committee, implementing the NFCA Solvency Program and strengthening our membership services.”

Ms. Reinhardt has more than 20 years of marketing and membership experience, as well as almost 10 years of work experience with various associations. Most recently, she was the Director of Marketing and Member Programs for the American Academy of Dermatology in Schaumburg, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois in Urbana and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago.

The 120-year-old NFCA unites 75 not-for-profit fraternal benefit societies operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. The association represents almost 10 million people in 36,000 local chapters, making it one of America’s largest member networks. Fraternal benefit societies provide their members with leadership, social, educational, spiritual, patriotic, scholarship, financial and volunteer-service opportunities. Combined, the NFCA’s member-societies maintain more than $315 billion of life insurance-in-force and, in 2004 alone, contributed almost $390 million to charitable and fraternal programs. In addition, fraternalists volunteered approximately 91.5 million hours toward community-service projects during that same period.
