NFCA Boosts Life/Health/Benefits Industry Networking by Sponsoring Inter-Company Marketing Group

11/05/09

OAK BROOK, IL - The National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) has thrown its weight behind insurance industry networking and strategic alliances by becoming a gold sponsor of the Inter-Company Marketing Group (ICMG) for 2010.

ICMG is the insurance industry’s leading association devoted to fostering strategic alliances in the insurance and financial services marketplace. “By supporting ICMG as a gold sponsor, NFCA shows its commitment to the life/health/benefits industry and to the organization that brings potential alliance partners together,” notes Audrey Wittenburg, executive director of ICMG.

ICMG welcomed NFCA as a new gold sponsor this year.

ICMG provides insurance marketing and product decision-makers with an environment to meet potential business partners and develop strategic alliances. Gold sponsors help ICMG bring increasing numbers of executives to the ICMG annual meeting, its keystone event.

The next annual meeting, ICMG’s 26th, will be held February 10-12, 2010, at The Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Arizona. In January 2009, ICMG’s 25th annual meeting drew more than 350 business development, product and marketing decision-makers, who made and maintained networking relationships and business alliances with their peers in the life/health/benefits sectors of the insurance industry.

ICMG gold sponsors are acknowledged on the organization’s home page (
www.ICMG.org), in its publications, and at the annual meeting with an exhibit booth and featured introductions at the kickoff. About the NFCA
The 123-year-old NFCA unites 69 not-for-profit fraternal benefit societies operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. The association represents 9.3 million fraternalists in 37,000 local chapters, making it one of America’s largest member-volunteer networks. Fraternal benefit societies provide their members with leadership, social, educational, spiritual, patriotic, scholarship, financial and volunteer-service opportunities. Combined, the NFCA’s member-societies maintain more than $353 billion of life insurance-in-force and, in 2008 alone, contributed almost $424 million to charitable and fraternal programs, and volunteered nearly 94 million hours for community-service projects. These statistics demonstrate the commitment that fraternals make to those in need and exemplify the true meaning of the NFCA signature phrase: Joining Hands to Touch Lives.
