Fraternal Advantage
Introduces New Guest Column

05/31/07

Do you have an opinion or idea that you would like to share with other fraternal benefit society leaders?  Or do you have knowledge or experience from which other fraternal leaders could benefit?  If so, Fraternal Advantage wants to hear from you!

Fraternal Advantage has created a brand new feature called “Fraternal Forum.”  This guest column will run in every issue, starting in the April/May 2007 edition.  Click here to read our first guest column, Fraternal “Membership” Driving Innovation.

We want to hear from all fraternal leaders and other system-related professionals with expertise, information and views regarding some aspect of the fraternal benefit system.

Please consider writing an article for our Guest Column. We would be happy to suggest a subject on request. Broadly speaking, the categories of greatest interest to us include such topics as solvency, membership recruitment/retention, maintaining an active lodge system, fraternal purpose, new innovations/technology, etc.

Guest Column submission process:

1. Contact the NFCA headquarters if you have any questions or want to discuss the content of your article.

2. Please consult the requirements before you write your article.

3. To submit an article for review, send an e-mail to NFCA Headquarters with “Guest Column” in the subject line.  Please make sure you include:

  • Your article.

  • Your name and telephone number.

  • A photograph (optional).

  • The personal details you wish to be listed with the article (this may contain any or all of: name, title, company, Web site, e-mail address).

4. We will contact you within ten (10) days of submission.  Accepted articles will be featured as the guest column in a future issue of Fraternal Advantage and become the property of the NFCA.

Requirements:  All articles will be subject to additional review.  The NFCA cannot guarantee that your article will be published, but we will do our best to accommodate all requests. Our goal is to post a wide variety of views from a wide variety of sources.

Title:  Must be ten words or fewer.

Format:  Please submit articles in MS Word format. Illustrations and/or photographs are welcome.

Content:  You are responsible to ensure that your submission does not contain any false or misleading information, violate any privacy or confidentiality requirements, or infringe any copyright.  The NFCA reserves the right to reject an article if this appears questionable.  However, we will do our best to work with you on suitable revisions if there is any such problem.

We also recommend that articles be approximately 500-600 words in length (must be less than 1,000 words).  Please note that all submissions are subject to required editing for content or space purposes.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Rose Riccetti, Director of Communications and Marketing.

Thank you for considering writing an article for our guest column. We look forward to hearing from you!
