State Legislation Now Available on NFCA Web site

Providing timely updates on state legislation filed and enacted is one of the many ways the NFCA strives to keep you informed.  To better provide you with timely legislative updates, all 2008 state legislation has been posted to the Legislative Action Center on the NFCA website.  You may now access the most recent legislation being tracked by NFCA in any state in which your society is active. 

To access the legislation pending in your state:

• Go to the Legislative Action Center home page, and scroll down to the bottom
  
  
• Select the State you wish to view from the drop-down box
  
  
• Select "Issues & Legislation"
  
  
• Select "Current Legislation" 

Note: The state bill search link located below the Current Legislation box will allow you to access full-text of any bills listed online. 

If your state legislature is not in session in 2008, no bills will be listed.  If your legislature is in session, but no insurance-related bills currently are being tracked—you will see the heading "no tracked legislation pending" posted under HB 1.   

Updates will be posted every day, so you are encouraged to log-in frequently.  Please contact Elizabeth Snyder, NFCA Government Affairs Coordinator, with any questions about posted legislation or the Legislative Action Center.
