Marcia D. Heywood Memorial Fraternal Communications Award

The purpose of this award is to honor an outstanding communicator for contributions to the communications profession and the advancement of the fraternal benefit system. Nominees must be employed by a member-society of the National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) and must show excellence in educating membership and/or the general public about fraternal benefit societies and their benefits/products/services through specific communications vehicles. The award will be administered by the NFCA Communications Section and presented in memory of Marcia D. Heywood, Woodmen Financial Services, Inc.

Each NFCA member-society is encouraged to support the award by submitting a nomination. Supporting materials, if applicable, may be included.

Deadline Extended to July 3rd
Nominations are to be postmarked by no later than July 3, 2008. The Communications Section will not review any nominations or materials received after this date. The award, an engraved plaque, will be presented at the 2008 NFCA Annual Meeting. Please note that the honoree’s society will be responsible for covering all travel, lodging and registration costs associated with having the honoree attend the Annual Meeting.

All nomination forms and supporting materials must be received by Thursday, July 3.  Incomplete entries or entries postmarked after the deadline will not be considered.
