The NFCA Proudly Recognizes "Fraternalists-in-Action"
Fraternal MVP—Week of April 14, 2008
The National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) is proud to recognize the following individual as a Fraternal MVP (Most Valuable Participant) for the week of April 14, 2008. Fraternal MVPs are “Fraternalists-in-Action” who volunteer their time, energy and compassion to strengthen their communities through participation in local lodge activities and other charitable endeavors.
Olga Blabolil
CSA Fraternal Life
Cleveland Chapter #219
Cleveland, Ohio
In spite of her 93 years, Olga continues to be active in her lodge meetings. She served one-year terms as vice president and president, nine years as journal correspondent and 23 years as recording secretary of Clark Lodge #371. She continued to be involved after the Clark Lodge merged with the Cleveland Chapter, even serving as installing officer last year. She is acknowledged as the chapter’s “Historian and Parliamentarian” and keeps the Patronat, or Board of Managers, of the Ceska Sin Sokol on their toes during business discussions.
Olga also held positions of leadership with D.C. No. 10 of Northern Ohio and was a delegate to four national conventions, serving as Get-Together Secretary and PR Chair in 1996. She worked with the youth through the West Side Organization Committee, which encouraged CSA youth to participate in sports activities. At her church, she is a member of a Bible study group and assists in the mailing of the church’s monthly newsletter.
Olga always shows great enthusiasm for everything she undertakes and when asked to assist in any project, she never hesitates in giving her all to any task.
The NFCA salutes Fraternalists-in-Action for their dedication, kindness and generosity. They embody the heart of fraternalism through their volunteer efforts and commitment to their communities.
