The National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) is proud to recognize the following individual as a Fraternal MVP (Most Valuable Participant) for the week of February 8, 2010. Fraternal MVPs are “Fraternalists-in-Action” who volunteer their time, energy and compassion to strengthen their communities through participation in local lodge activities and other charitable endeavors.
Rosemary Bodien
Western Fraternal Life Association (WFLA)
Lodge #181
Seattle, Washington
Rosemary is an invaluable asset to her fraternal group, instilling interest and excitement for her WFLA lodge programs. Rosemary’s cultural heritage focus also has provided interesting outings for lodge members.
Rosemary reached out to inactive members so now they regularly attend meetings. She also demonstrates true fraternal spirit by helping elderly and disabled lodge members through friendly visits, transportation needs, and household and garden help.
Rosemary is actively involved in the Czech and Slovak Genealogical Society. She is also involved with the student exchange program and pairs students with Czech-speaking adults.
The NFCA salutes Fraternalists-in-Action for their dedication, kindness and generosity. They embody the heart of fraternalism through their volunteer efforts and commitment to their communities.
