Fraternal MVP—Week of May 12, 2008
The National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) is proud to recognize the following individual as a Fraternal MVP (Most Valuable Participant) for the week of May 12, 2008. Fraternal MVPs are “Fraternalists-in-Action” who volunteer their time, energy and compassion to strengthen their communities through participation in local lodge activities and other charitable endeavors.
Jim Ward Foresters
Three Rivers Branch
Warrendale, Pennsylvania
Jim became a member of Foresters™ in the mid-1970s. He became an active member approximately one year after membership. He has remained an active officer and vital part of Three Rivers Branch throughout the years. For the past six years, Jim has been the President of Three Rivers Branch.
As president of Three Rivers Branch, Jim has presided over meetings and helped the branch to succeed in the many tasks associated with volunteerism and community partner projects. His undying efforts and constant enthusiasm have helped the branch achieve Gold Plus level for its community partner projects.
Jim has worked with the Liberty Regional Council in many capacities, such as volunteering to help with registration at Regional Council events including quadrennials, and serving on event-organizing committees, including one in his native Pittsburgh, Pa.
Jim is always aware of the responsibilities he has taken on as an officer of Three Rivers Branch. He makes sure that all contacts are informed of the commitment Foresters has made to their organization and the success of their events. He continues to remain in touch long after an event has taken place.
Jim continues to make sure that all of the requirements of involvement with Foresters are met in a timely fashion. He devotes himself and his time to serving the members of Foresters.
The NFCA salutes Fraternalists-in-Action for their dedication, kindness and generosity. They embody the heart of fraternalism through their volunteer efforts and commitment to their communities.
