The NFCA Proudly Recognizes "Fraternalists-in-Action"

Fraternal MVP—Week of May 19, 2008

 

The National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA) is proud to recognize the following individual as a Fraternal MVP (Most Valuable Participant) for the week of May 19, 2008. Fraternal MVPs are “Fraternalists-in-Action” who volunteer their time, energy and compassion to strengthen their communities through participation in local lodge activities and other charitable endeavors.

 

Beverly Rosselle
KSKJ Life, American Slovenian Catholic Union

St. Jerome’s, Lodge #153

Strabane, Pennsylvania

Beverly has been a member of KSKJ Life, American Slovenian Catholic Union, for her entire life. As a child, she participated in the youth activities in Lodge #153 in Strabane, Pa. She currently is Secretary/Treasurer of KSKJ Lodge #153, St. Jerome’s.

 

Beverly had moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and lived there for 33 years. During her last seven years residing in the Phoenix area, she hosted the annual Arizona KSKJ picnic. She moved back to Strabane, almost four years ago and became actively involved in her local KSKJ lodge as the Secretary/Treasurer for the past three years.

 

Beverly has organized and participated in many KSKJ Lodge events, such as flea markets and youth and adult Christmas parties. Beverly also helped organize and participate in their annual JOIN HANDS DAY projects to collect money for the land mine victims of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is instrumental in organizing food drives to benefit a local food bank.

She is a reporter and submits numerous lodge articles to be published in the KSKJ newspaper, The Voice.

 

Beverly is a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church in Canonsburg, Pa., where she volunteers at the Lenten Fish Fry’s and at their annual Parish Festival. She also is a member of the Slovene National Benefit Society (SNPJ) and American Fraternal Union (AFU).

 

The NFCA salutes Fraternalists-in-Action for their dedication, kindness and generosity. They embody the heart of fraternalism through their volunteer efforts and commitment to their communities.
